Nuestra Soledad Matatlan Mezcal is an exceptional expression crafted by the Angeles family in Matatlán, Oaxaca, often regarded as the heartland of Mezcal production. Distilled from 100% Espadín agave, this spirit embodies the authentic, ancestral methods of the region. The agave piñas are slow-roasted in underground conical ovens using mesquite and black oak, which imparts the signature smoky character. Following fermentation, the spirit is double-distilled in small copper pot stills. This meticulous process yields a mezcal with a rich and complex profile. Expect bright citrus and floral notes, perfectly balanced by a savory, earthy minerality and a persistent, clean smoke on the finish. It is an ideal sipping mezcal that speaks to the terroir of its origin.
