Heredad De Hidalgo Oloroso Sherry is a powerful and complex dry sherry from Spain, characterized by its unique oxidative aging process. Unlike Fino or Manzanilla, this wine is fortified to 17% ABV, preventing the development of 'flor' and allowing it to age in constant contact with oxygen. This long maturation process in American oak casks concentrates its components, resulting in a wine of exceptional structure and complexity. Expect a full-bodied, well-rounded character with rich, nutty aromas of noble wood and toasted walnuts. The palate is powerful and smooth, often revealing notes of dried fruit and intense spice, culminating in an elegant, dry, and lingering finish.
