Cynar Liqueur

Cynar is a distinctive Italian bitter liqueur renowned for its unique foundation of artichoke leaves and 13 other herbs and botanicals. Originally launched in 1952, this amaro is celebrated for its versatile, complex flavor profile that balances bittersweet, herbal, and earthy notes. Bottled at a relatively low 16.5% ABV, Cynar is an incredibly approachable spirit. It serves perfectly as a digestive after a meal (digestivo) or as a bitter component in cocktails. Its slight sweetness and vegetal complexity make it a favorite among bartenders for crafting lower-ABV mixed drinks, like a Cynar Spritz (with prosecco and soda) or substituting Campari in a complex Negroni variation.
