Clase Azul Durango Mezcal

Clase Azul Durango Mezcal is a sophisticated, artisanal spirit crafted from Cenizo agave (Agave durangensis) grown in the wild, rugged terrain of Durango, Mexico. Unlike the more common Espadín agave, Cenizo takes approximately 10 to 15 years to mature, contributing to the mezcal's distinct complexity. The piñas are cooked in traditional earthen pits using volcanic rock and mesquite wood, imparting a signature smoky profile. Following fermentation with natural yeasts, the mezcal is double distilled in copper pot stills. This dedication to ancestral methods results in a refined, full-bodied expression. Expect notes of hazelnut, smoked wood, peanut, and subtle citrus, culminating in a balanced, lingering finish. This mezcal is a true representation of the high-desert terroir.
