Planteray Original Dark Rum (formerly Plantation Original Dark) is a masterful blend of rums from Barbados and Jamaica, matured first in the tropics in bourbon barrels, then aged again in French oak casks in France. This dual-aging process, known as "double aging," imbues the spirit with exceptional complexity. It presents a deep amber color and a rich, concentrated profile. Expect inviting notes of banana, brown sugar, vanilla, and hints of tropical fruit, balanced by cocoa and subtle wood spice.
