Casamigos Mezcal

Casamigos Mezcal is an artisanal, small-batch spirit crafted from 100% Espadín agave, grown in the Oaxaca region of Mexico. Unlike tequila, the agave hearts (piñas) are slow-roasted in earthen pits with volcanic rock for several days, a process that imparts its characteristic smoky flavor. After roasting, the piñas are crushed by a traditional stone wheel (tahona) and fermented for up to ten days. The resulting liquid is double-distilled in copper pot stills. This meticulous, time-honored approach yields a smooth, balanced, and complex mezcal.
